Flexible and reliable Resource Planning
The module Resource Planning, which was developed more than 20 years ago and has since been continuously expanded with new functionalities, is the centrepiece of the Innosoft Service Management System (SMS). The graphical planning board is a classic of modern resource planning. With just a few keys and a few simple mouse clicks, you can create and assign assignments in a virtually playful way. The range of functions has grown significantly over the years. The Windows-based solution meets the highest demands in machine and technician scheduling thanks to numerous special options, even as a stand-alone program. In combination with other SMS modules, above all the Mobile Field Service, via which the service engineers in the field are connected to the system, or the programs Customer Management and Project Management, the Innosoft Resource Planning unfolds its strengths.


Extensive technician management
Innosoft Resource Planning is a comprehensive tool for planning and monitoring projects, assignments and resources (= all available employees and work equipment), which provides you with all relevant data in a clearly structured form. In addition to the address information of resources and customers, including contact persons, you have numerous options for managing skills, vaccinations, specializations, visas, preferred technicians or special features of a machine, which provide planning assistance for the worldwide and local dispatching of technicians.
In the case of extensive projects, you can store additional project data such as target costs, responsible agents, machines or the type of project. In addition, all machines installed at a customer’s site can be managed via the system, so that you can also retrieve from an address information such as machine type, installation and warranty date as well as the order bill of materials for the machines already delivered.

Keeping an eye on assignments and capacity
In the graphical planning board, the dates are displayed as assignment bars whose colour indicates the type of activity. The specific data of the assignments can be called up for editing with a click in the assignment information window. In the resource overview with timeline you can see at a glance when there are still available or already overloaded groups (e.g. locations). In addition, you can also use a bar display for optimal control of capacity utilization.
You can use a variety of filter options to limit the calculation of the workload to the selected teams or departments. The identification codes of the assignment bars can be displayed in colour so that you can allocate at a glance whether they are absences such as vacation, illness or further training, project-related assignments or regularly recurring measures such as maintenance. The degree of completion can also be clearly displayed by means of an additional document entry display.

Versatile customization options
Depending on the requirements, a completely different display can be of interest, which is why the Innosoft Resource Planning offers a multitude of user settings. If you are planning longer projects on extensive installations, the large overview in the weekly or even monthly display is preferred, while the day display, half-day display or 4‑hour display makes more sense if you have more short-term assignments on smaller machines or equipment. You can also switch the view from resources to machines, addresses or projects with just one click.
All data relevant for the service is combined in one system, and affiliated branches and field staff can also be easily connected. The Resource Planning interacts seamlessly with other modules, such as the Innosoft GeoMap, which can be used, for example, to optimize routes according to various criteria or to find technicians located nearby using the proximity search.
