With a unified IT solution, Novoferm’s European locations will grow together. This will make work easier for the field service – and the service for Novoferm’s customers will be further improved: thanks to Innosoft’s Field Service Management solution, Novoferm’s branches across Europe will have access to a platform that is specifically tailored to the daily workflows of the respective location. A particular challenge in the planning and implementation of the project was that the project itself has grown massively over time.
“We initially received an order in November 2019 for an introduction of Innosoft at TST Tor System Technik GmbH,” explains Bastian König, project manager at Innosoft. TST was founded in 1998 and has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Novoferm since 2006. The company has been operating under Novoferm Verladetechnik und Service GmbH since January 1, 2023. Novoferm itself is one of the largest European system suppliers of door and gate solutions as well as loading systems for private, commercial and industrial use.
The initial project at TST was followed by the introduction of Innosoft at Novoferm sites in the Netherlands and France. And the project continued to grow – introductions in Bulgaria and Poland also became part of the implementation. The challenges were of course issues such as language – the Innosoft software was specifically translated into Polish and Bulgarian for the project – then cultural and legal differences in the countries as well as the size of the organization from 35 users in Bulgaria to more than 100 users in France. And: The different locations brought with them a heterogeneous system landscape – with multi-layered ERP systems, with SAP R3 to be linked in the Netherlands and much more. To this end, the introduction of Innosoft addressed simultaneous integration with another ERP provider as a joint venture – a challenge for all organizations involved.
